The reference for this was a photo that my Father took at one of our many visits to Brookfield Zoo while I was growing up. This was when you could feed marshmellows to the bears. If you look in the water behind the bears, you can see marshmellows floating.

She won several awards in high school and later in local shows in Indiana. Her love of animals led to a degree in Forestry and Wildlife Management from Purdue University. Since college, Lana’s career has taken her all over the country with the National Park Service and U.S. Forest Service. Even though art took a backseat during this time, Lana compiled an impressive photo library on which to base future paintings. She is now retired and starting a second career as an artist.
